i love Saturday Night Live…b/c of all the over-the-top ratings, they are doing a Thursday night addition for now…it really cracks me up and gives some needed relief to all the so-called serious issues we face…lordy mercy we do need the medicine of good hearty laughter!
I hadn't watched SNL in a long time. I don't have cable and had never thought to watch it online. I'd heard about the debate parody and that is what I was specifically looking for but of course had to watch several other skits. The debate parody was just perfect. The Palin impersonation was absolutely spot on. The Lawrence Welk parody was just plain stupid silly… meaning I loved it. My parents used to watch that show all the time and so I'm very familiar with it. Yes, laughter is good medicine.
i'm a long time fan…i remember the early days of SNL with gilda, chevy, and other's…there is still nothing funnier then when chevy use to fall down…yeah it was stupid, but i love that too…lol…humor is funny, i love the stupid silly, but i don't like the ignorant silly…and there is, at least to me, a difference…isn't that strange? lol…but i love, love, love the intellectual silly…jon stewart and steve cobert crack me up…if you aren't a political junkie though, they wont make much sense…so it is like an intellectual elite club for political junkies, you have to know what is going on in the world to understand the jokes…lol…i also like bill maher…i loved george carlin…fortunately they have plenty of him left on tape…
